Get to know me through .. MUSIC!

Wow the feedback for my first blog was great. Both positive and negative. Though let me CLARIFY I'm not writing this for NEGATIVE thoughts or opinions. So proceed cautiously because I will not take lightly to belittling comments, "I'm better than you" comments, or overall ASSHOLE comments. They are not needed and can be taken elsewhere. Keep in mind these are my opinions on things and not everyone is going to agree it's part of life. If everyone agreed with everything this world would be a pretty dull place. We're aren't here for a long time. This is part of journey i've decided to take, to let people into MY life. My life is not an open book. Some of my "closest" friends don't know where I came from with my family or what i've been through. How I got to where I am today with the good the bad and the UGLY. No ones life is always sunny with roses. Mine was far from that but, wasn't all bad. However, I have a lot to share with people. Maybe one persons life can be changed because of something I say. Maybe not but, when I'm putting my heart and soul into something I expect great things! I'm pretty excited to see where this goes or if I'll fail at writing. I'm just glad you all are along for the ride to see the outcome.

Now the getting to know me through music part of this blog:
As part of my blogging adventure I stumbled upon this and thought how wonderful, While I blog about my life and my views on life, You can get to know me through music! I just love music and how it makes you feel. How a certain song can take you back to when you were a child and you still know all the lyrics. Happy memories and sad ones, music is in our lives DAILY! Now how do I pick my FAVORITE song, i'm not sure it'll be a new song or an old song but, i'm certain it will be a song that I know will make me smile no matter what i'm doing. After contemplating long and hard I picked my FAVORITE song! Counting Crows Big Yellow Taxi ... I love Counting Crows and my Dad took me their concert when I was younger and I've been in love with Adam Duritz (The lead singer) for many years. He's not afraid to be different. He's doesn't care what society classifies as "Normal" he's different from his voice, to his clothes, to the meaning behind his music and that is what catches my eye along with a songs message! I envy the esteem he has to be himself and not put on a fake facade. Something I'm not used to. Most of us aren't ourselves 100% of the time. There is always the person we'd like to be, whether it be a simple gesture you make every day letting a car pull out in front of you, opening the door for a stranger, helping family. That gesture could be the nicest and most memorable thing that person has experienced. I know I often take things for granted but, try to keep in mind that daily I will do something nice for someone. I hope with that being said; todays blog wasn't a total bore. Tomorrow i'll be back for more. Enjoy the song maybe it will mean something to you like it does me!

Life may be completley chaotic and I won't make it out ALIVE but, i'll make an impression while I'm here
-K
